My Entry to Politics

The heroic General Sarath Fonseka who devoted his life to set up a war free nation subsequently entering into politics was a great strength to me as well as to the entire country.

The heroic soldier who toiled hard to bring about real democracy for the entire nation instead of depriving democracy, just administration instead of developing cruelty has now been jailed.

The fact that the heroic Commander who dreamed not to enjoy happiness for himself but to unite the whole country for that matter is now being singled out to suffer by himself. This has made me to add new vigour to my political vision. I have arrived at a challenging decision having regard to the fact that democracy has been put behind bars.

Actually, my struggle is to achieve political freedom deprived from the soldiers who fought hard in battle field and exhibited their heroism and humanism.
